The Department of Economic and Business Studies (DiSEI) at the Università del Piemonte Orientale (UPO) is about to recruit economists for a tenure track position (RTDb). We will publish at least two calls in Economics (SECS-P/1) within the next few months (the first call should appear in the Gazzetta by 16/12/2022). The Department is located in Novara, 80km east of Turin, 50km west of Milan, and just 30km south of Malpensa Airport - Milan, one of Italy’s major transport hubs.
The economics group is international, young, and in expansion. You will have a chance to shape the future of the group with us. You should have a PhD in economics and at least three years of experience as a post-doc. Knowledge of Italian for teaching is required. Tenure as associate professor will be given after obtaining the National Scientific Habilitation (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale di seconda fascia) within three years (the Department may anticipate the promotion).
The annual gross starting salary is € 44.009. For applicants transferring from abroad, Italy offers a generous ten year tax holiday.
