The Department of Economics and Finance of Luiss (Rome) invites outstanding scholars to express their interest in a full-time tenured position as Associate/Full Professor of Economics.
Ideal candidates will show a passionate drive to engage in Luiss University’s dynamic and stimulating academic environment and contribute to its further development. They will have research experience on any field of economics with a particular focus on macroeconomics, monetary economics, labour economics, growth and political economy.
Role and Responsibilities
Luiss Associate/Full Professors are expected to undertake rigorous and innovative research in their field(s) of interest, publish in high quality international journals, and provide academic assistance or leadership in research activities. They are also expected to contribute to the collegial and intellectual life of the University and of the Luiss community at large, and to the development of the University’s degree programs. The typical teaching load is 120 hours per year, either in undergraduate or graduate programs, but special conditions of engagement may apply.
The position holder will also supervise master’s dissertations and bachelor’s papers and is expected to contribute to the doctoral program. Appointments are full-time and the salary is competitive.

The Department of Economics and Finance offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees. Faculty develops and shapes research agendas in the global academic arena with the aim of developing new paradigms to understand and address societal phenomena. Faculty research interests at the Department of Economics and Finance include applied and theoretical microeconomics, asset pricing and corporate finance, econometrics, industrial organization, international trade and macroeconomics. Faculty members regularly publish in top academic journals.
