The Chair of International Economic Policy at the University of Mainz, Germany, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in international or public economics. We also invite applicants in the field of urban and regional economics. The fixed-term contract is for three years, once renewable. Targeted starting date is September 1st 2022.
Applicants should have a PhD or be close to completion and should show strong commitment to research in the field of international, public, or urban and regional economics. The chair's activities have an empirical focus, but applicants with a theoretical focus are equally considered.
Teaching duties are four academic hours per week (two courses or tutorials consisting of approx. 14 lectures at 90 minutes per term). Courses will be taught at the Bachelor and/or Master level in English language.
Knowledge of the German language is helpful but not required. The Chair is committed to diversity, inclusion and flexibility. We also foster intra-regional collaboration (Frankfurt Rhine-Main area).
