The Department of Economics and Finance (DEF) at the Tor Vergata University of Rome invites expressions of interest for an Associate Professorship in any area of Economics and Finance.

The position is permanent; the Department expects to hire the selected candidate between 2023 and 2024.

The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to publish research at a high international level, a promising pipeline, an outstanding teaching, service, and publication record commensurate with tenure at that rank.

Standards of excellence in teaching are also expected as well as personal and collaborative skills.

Salary, research account, and teaching load are competitive and – according to Italian Law – researchers hired in Italy coming from abroad, have almost full tax deductions (90%) for up to 13 years.

Our Department promotes high-quality research, seminars and conference activities, with the aim of contributing to the national and international policy debate. RePEc and Tilburg University rank our Department among the top 5 institutions in Italy, and the top 100 in Europe.

The Department has been financed for a second consecutive five-year period (2023-2027) by the Italian Ministry of University and Research under the program “Departments of Excellence”.

More information about DEF can be found here.
