CEMFI invites application for one or two research assistant position to work in the project “Political Trust in Crisis: Determinants and Solutions". The positions are funded by the European Research Council Consolidator Grant POLTRUSTLAB, whose PI is Professor Monica Martinez-Bravo.

Research Assistant Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assisting survey design and data collection.

• Cleaning datasets and conducting basic statistic and econometric analysis.

• Conducting literature review and summary of political background in different countries.

• Assisting the principal investigator in other aspects of the project.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, social sciences, mathematics, statistics, public policy, or related fields.

• Excellent management and organizational skills.

• Meticulous, organized, and detailed oriented.

• Strong quantitative skills.

• Excellent knowledge of Excel and Stata. Knowledge of python, GIS and R also valued.

• Flexible, self-motivating, independent and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Proficient in English. Knowledge of Spanish is valued, although not required.

• Strong interests in academic research.

• Previous experience as research assistant will be highly valued.

• Able to legally work in the European Union

Job conditions:

• Full-time position.

• The job will be based in CEMFI in Madrid.

• Duration: From as soon as possible to May 30th 2025

• Salary: 31,500 €/year gross remuneration
