The Department of Economics and Business at the University of Cagliari is seeking candidates for the academic positions of:

- Post-doc researchers in Economics (two-year position)

The post-doc positions (4) are based on a two-year contract, which involves no teaching duties. The hired researchers will provide support (e.g., data analysis, official deliverables preparation) for a specific research project, while having substantial time left for working on own research. To be eligible, candidates must have completed – or be in the final year – of a Ph.D program.

The Department welcomes applications from economists working in all fields but especially encourages applications from economists working on Financial Economics and Econometrics, Energy Economics and Environmental Economics. The economic research team currently publishes in highly ranked scientific journals (e.g, among others: American Economic Review; Journal of Political Economy; Journal of European Economic Association; American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics; Journal of International Economics; The Economic Journal; Journal of Health Economics; Journal of Urban Economics; Review of Economic Dynamics; Journal of Economic Theory; Economic Theory; Journal of Mathematical Economics; Economic Policy; Journal of Economic Geography; European Economic Review; Labour Economics; Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization; Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization).

The Department hosts an active series of seminars, with invited speakers from Italian, European, and non-European leading universities and institutions, and organizes international workshops and conferences on a regular basis.
