We are seeking two qualified and highly motivated individuals for two Postdoctoral Research Associate posts investigating Climate change as a dangerous threat to human welfare. The project aims to develop more robust climate models using cutting-edge econometric methods focusing on policy analysis. It will achieve this by linking empirical feedbacks between greenhouse gas emissions and socio-economic processes, showing the commonalities and differences between the physical and statistical approaches.
We are looking for outstanding candidates with well-developed expertise in one or more aspects of the project (econometrics, climate science, policy design and evaluation). Appointees will need a proven track record in the independent management of a discrete area of a research project and of working as part of a larger team to address shared goals.
The location of the job will be in Oxford. The appointments will be made on grade 7 of University Salary Scale, currently £34,308 -£46,047 p.a. and be made for two years in the first instance. There may be the possibility of extending for one further year subject to future funding.
Application forms and further particulars, which include information on how to apply, are available at www.magd.ox.ac.uk/job-vacancies/. The covering letter, completed application form and research paper should be emailed to human.resources@magd.ox.ac.uk by 12 noon (UK time) on Tuesday 11th April 2023.
