The Economics Department and the Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Brown University are searching for jointly-appointed tenured faculty at the Associate or Full Professor level, with the position beginning July 1, 2024. Candidates in political economy, with a preference for those who engage on these issues broadly in an international context, including in the developing world, will be considered. Expertise in the roles of institutions, history, culture, and their interplay in shaping economic outcomes across the globe is welcome.

Candidates should have demonstrated a significant influence on the profession through their research and publications and a commitment to teaching excellence at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
