The Faculty of Economics at The University of Cambridge invites applications for multiple Assistant Professor positions and is interested in excellent candidates with an established record of research in either microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, development or financial economics/finance. Candidates conducting research or with significant experience in machine learning, data science or computer science will receive special consideration.

The successful candidates will be expected to undertake research with a view to publication in the best international journals. They will also be expected to undertake teaching (which may be in the form of lectures, seminars and classes) and will also be expected to act as an examiner, and to undertake administrative tasks as directed by the Faculty Board.

Candidates should hold, or have submitted their PhD by September 2024. They should have achieved or demonstrated a potential to achieve international recognition for their research. They should also be able to demonstrate a potential for an effective contribution to teaching and to their subject in areas other than teaching, such as the management of research, general contribution to their discipline and administration.

Appointments are subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the University of Cambridge. Applications should include:
