The Department of Economics at Oberlin College (located 35 miles from Cleveland) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant level (tenure-track) starting in Fall 2024. A candidate should have earned a Ph.D. or expect to do so by Fall 2024. While candidates from any subfield of applied microeconomics will be considered, the department particularly welcomes applications from the following fields: labor economics, economics of education, family or gender economics, behavioral economics, health economics, public economics and applied econometrics.
The new faculty member will teach the standard teaching load (4.5 courses per year). In addition to courses in their area of expertise, the new member would be expected to contribute to the core curriculum (i.e., principles, intermediate micro or macro, econometrics).
