The Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus University, invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship, starting in the fall of 2024.

Research Fields: Labor Economics, Applied Econometrics.

The post-doctoral fellowship is part of a large grant funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark about life-time wage inequality. Candidates with a strong background in labor economics and in particular who have interests at the intersection between data and models of the labor market are preferred.

The duration of the post-doctoral fellowship is 2 years. The position can in special cases be combined with an assistant professor position, yielding extra research time. We offer favorable conditions regarding research facilities, data access, time devoted to research, travel support, etc. For non-Danish researchers, a favorable tax-scheme exists. There are limited teaching responsibilities in connection with the position.

The Department of Economics and Business Economics has around 130 faculty members covering the fields of Accounting, Finance, Logistics and Operations Research, Economics, Econometrics, Business Analytics and other fields. The department faculty is international, and the working language is English. The department hosts several research centers providing an active research environment and the department has several seminar series with ample influx of visiting researchers. The Department of Economics and Business Economics services several undergraduate and master-level programs. The PhD program has an annual intake of around 15 to 20 students. Interviews will be conducted through the European Job Market virtual meetings held from the 11th to the 14th of December 2023, and candidates may subsequently be invited to give a job talk at Aarhus University starting January 2024.
